- Do I need a visitors visa (Temporary
Resident Visa - TRV)?
Many people do not require a TRV to enter Canada. If you
are not sure if you need a visa or not the list of countries
that do and do not require a visa to enter Canada are provided
below.

- Do I need a Student Permit?
If you complete all your studies in Canada within six
months of the date you enter Canada you do not need
a student permit. It you study longer than six months from
the date you entered Canada you will need to obtain
a student permit.You can obtain the application kit for

- Extending your stay in Canada after
arrival
If you decide after entering Canada that you want to
extend your visa or to study longer than six months you
will have to apply to change your status. You will
need to get the Application
to Change Conditions or to Extend My Stay in Canada.

In order to obtain a student permit you will need an acceptance
letter from ESH which we will issue once you have registered
and provided a non-refundable deposit ($C150) for your course.
To submit your applications
outside Canada mail it or go to your nearest Canadian diplomatic

- Citizens of Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda,
Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Botswana,
Brunei, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland,
Israel (National Passport holders only), Italy, Japan, Kiribati,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco,
Namibia, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua
New Guinea, Portugal, Republic of Korea, St. Kitts and Nevis,
St. Lucia, St. Vincent, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore,
Solomon Islands, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Slovenia, Switzerland,
Tuvalu, United States, Vanuatu, Western Samoa and Zimbabwe;
- persons lawfully admitted to the United
States for permanent residence who are in possession of
their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide
other evidence of permanent residence.
- British citizens and British Overseas
Citizens who are re-admissible to the United Kingdom;
- citizens of British dependent territories
who derive their citizenship through birth, descent, registration
or naturalization in one of the British dependent territories
of Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands,
Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Montserrat, Pitcairn,
St. Helena or the Turks and Caicos Islands;
- persons holding passports or travel
documents issued by the Holy See
